1. The service
Settly is an Android calculator that uses amounts, payers, and participants you enter to calculate each participant's totals and settlement routes. It does not transfer funds, track completed payments, provide a financial account, or determine anyone's legal debt obligations.
These terms apply to the Settly app and shared-table viewer. Google Play, Android backup, and any app you select to receive a shared result also have their own terms. You do not need to sign up, but cloud sync uses an internal anonymous authentication ID. Supporting versions provide the sync and sharing features in Section 8 after a separate cloud notice.
If you are a minor, a paid purchase requires a parent or legal guardian's consent where required by law. Any statutory right to cancel a minor's purchase made without that consent is preserved.
2. Free version
The free version allows up to 2 currently retained settlements you created, with up to 10 stored expense items per settlement. Invited tables do not consume your creation allowance. A shared table's limits follow its creator's free/Pro status; an invitee's Pro does not remove the creator's limits. Within those limits, you can add participants, calculate results, share images, and export PDF/Excel files. There is no separate free-tier participant limit.
Saved incomplete items count toward the limit; unsaved new-item drafts do not. Deleting settlements or items frees that capacity. This is not a lifetime creation allowance or a daily quota. Banner ads may appear when permitted by the applicable privacy choices and ad-request conditions.
3. Pro benefits
During a valid Pro subscription, Settly removes the free creation limits on settlements and expense items and stops requesting banner ads. Removing product limits does not remove the storage, memory, or performance limitations of your device.
Pro is a monthly or annual automatically renewing subscription, not a one-time purchase or a lifetime license. Using the free version or opening the subscription screen does not start a subscription.
New subscribers whose eligibility is confirmed by Google Play can receive a 7-day free trial on the annual subscription. The monthly subscription has no free trial and is charged when you subscribe. Trial availability depends on your country or region, previous subscription history, and the eligible offer returned by Google Play, as shown in the app and the Google Play purchase confirmation screen. Pro benefits are available during the trial.
Starting a free trial begins a subscription that automatically converts to the annual price shown at checkout after the trial, then renews every year. To avoid being charged, cancel in Google Play before the trial ends. Google Play shows the exact trial end date, charge amount, and renewal date. If you are not eligible for a trial, you may subscribe at the displayed price without a free trial.
Cloud sync and link sharing are available to both free and Pro users in supporting versions, not sold as separate Pro benefits. Pro does not guarantee recovery of deleted content or ownership, automatic restoration of each device's personal list, or access on a future platform.
4. Price, payment, and renewal
Before you confirm a purchase, the app and Google Play checkout show the selected plan, the total charge for its billing period, the currency, and renewal terms. An annual plan is charged for the year, not in monthly installments. Review the final price and tax treatment shown for your account and region at checkout.
Google Play processes payment when you confirm the purchase. A pending or unsuccessful purchase does not create a new Pro entitlement; an existing valid entitlement is evaluated separately. Settly uses RevenueCat to verify purchases and current subscription access.
Unless you cancel renewal, Google Play renews the subscription and charges according to the selected billing cycle. Price or renewal changes follow applicable notice and consent requirements and Google Play's procedures. A terms update alone does not authorize an undisclosed charge.
5. Canceling renewal and restoring purchases
Use Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription in Settly or Google Play subscriptions to cancel renewal. Sign in with the Google account used to purchase. Uninstalling Settly, deleting settlement data, making a privacy request, or sending a general support inquiry does not itself cancel a Google Play subscription.
Ordinarily, canceling renewal leaves access available for the period already paid for. A refund, revocation, or other action required by law may change that access.
After reinstalling or on another Android device, you can request restoration of a valid purchase using the same Google Play account. Restoring is not a new purchase, does not restart renewal, and does not recover deleted settlement content. Availability across devices depends on store verification and restore state.
6. When Pro ends or cannot be verified
When Pro ends, the free limits and applicable ad conditions return. Settly does not automatically delete settlement data because a subscription expired.
- If a creator retains more than 2 settlements, that creator's tables become view-only. Invited tables follow their own creator's limits.
- If a creator retains at most 2 settlements but a table has more than 10 saved items, that table becomes view-only.
- View-only permits viewing existing items, calculated totals and settlement routes, and deleting data. Adding, editing, result sharing/export, and duplication are restricted.
- Returning within the free limits by deleting data, or verifying an active Pro entitlement, removes the corresponding restrictions.
If a network or verification service issue prevents checking current access, Settly displays that a check is needed instead of declaring the subscription expired. Without valid cached access, the app may temporarily provide only free-tier features and viewing/deletion of over-limit data. Reconnect and retry verification or restore purchases.
7. Refunds and payment issues
Refund and withdrawal rights depend on applicable mandatory consumer law, the terms presented at purchase, and Google Play's refund policy. These terms do not waive non-waivable rights or declare all digital-service purchases nonrefundable. Canceling future renewal and refunding an existing charge are separate actions.
See Google Play refund assistance, or email corp@solidsoft.team with the subject Settly refund request. Include the product, purchase date, reason for the request, and a reply address. Support may request an order number to locate the transaction and will explain the applicable basis and outcome. Do not send card credentials, account passwords, or raw purchase tokens. The operator remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law.
For Korean consumers covered by Korea's Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Act, a statutory withdrawal period generally runs for 7 days from receipt of written contract information, or from the start of supply if later. Statutory restrictions may apply once a service or digital content has begun, with exceptions for unsupplied separable portions and failures to provide required notices or safeguards. Separate statutory remedies and deadlines apply if supply differs from the description or contract. These Korean provisions do not limit rights provided by U.S. federal or applicable state law.
Where a lawful withdrawal creates a refund obligation under Article 18 of that Act, the operator will fulfill the refund obligation within 3 business days from the legally applicable starting date and promptly request any necessary payment cancellation. Statutory late-payment compensation applies where required. The time for a refund to appear on a payment account can vary with Google Play and the payment provider; this does not waive the operator's legal duties.
Records subject to mandatory retention are kept within the scope of that obligation. Korean electronic-commerce law requires 5 years for contract, withdrawal, payment, and supply records and 3 years for consumer complaints and disputes. These duties are not a basis for retaining entire settlement tables as statutory transaction records.
8. Your content, storage, and sharing
Check amounts, payers, participants, and recipients before relying on or sharing results. Incomplete expenses are excluded from calculations. A table’s settlement currency is fixed after creation. Expenses can use different currencies and automatic/reference rates, manual rates or directly entered converted amounts. Changing an expense currency preserves the original numeric amount but requires a conversion basis for the new pair. Automatic rates are available reference rates, not guaranteed card, exchange, transfer or historical expense-date rates. If lookup fails, enter a manual rate or converted amount. The app does not exchange or transfer funds. Equal, ratio and percentage shares, including weights set from amounts, follow the saved allocation; settlement rounding may also affect final amounts. Review the result before arranging an actual payment.
In supporting versions, all tables, participants, items, notes and attached photos are stored locally and synced to the server whether or not a link has been shared. Offline changes upload after reconnection. Conflicting writes to the same field use the last value stored by the server. Polling and connectivity can delay updates on other devices or the web. Uninstalling or resetting app data can lose unsent changes.
Each table has a sharing code. Anyone with its link can view it on the web or add, edit and delete items and participants in the app. The web edit button leads to app opening/installation. There is currently no per-invitee approval, role management or link rotation. Ensure you may include other people's information and share links only with trusted recipients. PNG, PDF and Excel results reflect device content at export time, not guaranteed completed server sync. Detailed files may include expense dates, categories, notes and photos according to the options. Excel contains exported values, not a live settlement table that recalculates after later edits. Receiving apps, chosen storage locations and recipients control their copies; later server deletion does not recall them.
Only the original anonymous creator can delete the whole server table, and whole-table deletion cannot be undone. Once the server receives the request it blocks link access and removes content/photos, retrying failed cleanup. Offline deletions wait for reconnection. Removing an invited table clears only this device’s list and pending changes. Settings → Delete all settlement data requests permanent server deletion of tables you created and removes invited tables only from this device. Once server deletion is applied, other participants lose access too. Offline deletion requests remain queued until reconnection; uninstalling or resetting before delivery can leave server content behind. Personal settings, categories, subscription and analytics choices remain separate. Existing item/participant deletion undo is separate.
Reinstalling, clearing app data or changing devices can lose the original anonymous identity, personal list and owner access. Rejoining through a link or restoring Pro purchases does not restore ownership. Keep the links/results you need separately. There is currently no inactivity-based automatic table deletion. See the Privacy Policy for deletion markers, provider photo-deletion periods and privacy requests.
You retain rights in content you enter. You permit the operator to store, process and transmit content only as needed to provide the requested sync, calculations, collaboration and link viewing. This does not authorize advertising, model training or disclosure beyond the requested sharing scope. Rights in the app software and operator-created materials remain with their respective rights holders.
9. Changes, availability, and responsibility
The operator may make necessary changes or temporarily interrupt the service for security, maintenance, or legal compliance. Material changes or discontinuation affecting a paid period will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible, with consumer protections and refunds required by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer or privacy rights. Describing Settly as a calculation tool is not a blanket disclaimer of the operator's legal responsibilities.
10. Updates and disputes
Changes to these terms will identify their effective date and be made available in the app or linked website. Material or adverse changes follow applicable notice and consent requirements. Silence is not treated as blanket consent to every future change.
Contact corp@solidsoft.team for service or subscription issues. These terms do not remove protections, remedies, or court access that mandatory law gives you. Privacy requests are described in the Privacy Policy. Users in Japan can consult the Japanese Terms and business disclosures; users in Taiwan can consult the Traditional Chinese Terms. Choosing a document language does not waive applicable mandatory rights.
